Community Council on Purchases of Health and Human Services

The Community Council, established under HRS Section 103F-202, advised and assisted the administrator of the State Procurement Office in various areas of planning and procuring of health and human services in subjects such as business conditions facing providers, establishing schedules for planning and purchasing, identifying training needs of purchasing agencies and providers, and securing provider input and facilitating provider participation in the planning and procurement process.

Thanks to the work of the Community Council,  statutes and rules specifically for health and human service procurements are well-established, and both providers and purchasing agencies are accustomed to the procurement process.
